🧵U. S. Steel has failed to provide concrete, timely plans to address health and climate problems at its coal-based steelmaking facilities, in spite of investable solutions. U. S. Steel are about to vote on the proposed merger with Nippon Steel, and can ask questions. My qs:
Today, we rallied prior to the U. S. Steel meeting where shareholders voted to approve the sale of the company to Nippon Steel.
Our message? Any change in ownership needs to come with a change in company culture - one that truly prioritizes public health.

Make no mistake — this remains an active strike against the Post Gazette. Our brothers and sisters from CWA and the Newspaper Guild of Pittsburgh 🗞 are still on the picket line fighting for what they deserve, and the Post Gazette is still refusing to do the right thing.
