Chu et al. identify specific atrophy networks associated with different clinical subtypes of frontotemporal dementia, and with apathy and disinhibition, and propose that the findings will aid the selection of future neuromodulation targets. tinyurl.com/p8873wk7

Yao et al. identify Tiam1-mediated maladaptive plasticity in the spinal nociceptive network as a cause of the development and maintenance of morphine tolerance and hyperalgesia. Inhibiting Tiam1 signalling reduced morphine tolerance. tinyurl.com/56436ejp

Herbet et al. examine how machine learning algorithms can be used to predict cognitive outcomes following glioma resection. They argue that three factors should be used as predictors: resection topography, structure-function phenotype, and neuroplasticity. tinyurl.com/2s4abfbh

Di Berardino et al. show that induction of Scn1a haploinsufficiency in mice at P2, P30 or P60 elicits a classic Dravet syndrome phenotype. Maintenance of physiological levels of Nav1.1 during brain devpt is thus not sufficient to prevent Dravet symptoms. tinyurl.com/2etkz6v3

Alhassen et al. show that L-DOPA elicits a delayed motor response in a mouse model of PD, even when its conversion to DA is blocked. The motor response is accompanied by a surge in brain ophthalmate, suggesting that ophthalmate may modulate motor function. tinyurl.com/4p8wwenn
