Getting to a renewable energy future will create a lot of jobs.

Like electricians. We need 32,000 new sparkies between now and 2030.

And so we need to ensure we are training Australians for the thousands of jobs we are creating.

Gladstone has a bright future with our Hydrogen Headstart program, ramping up green hydrogen in Australia’s regions and making us a renewable energy superpower.

Thanks for clearing that up Dan.

If the LNP can rule out a nuclear power plant in Anglesea, that means you know where the plants will and won’t be.

So how about you clarify it for every Australian and every community, by releasing your policy. With locations, costings and

The Albanese Government’s Future Made in Australia package will help get a large-scale green hydrogen industry going in Australia

We have some of the best renewable energy resources in the world. More sunlight hits out landmass than any other nation. We have world class wind

These green hydrogen electrolysers are being manufactured right here in Gladstone.

Our Future Made in Australia policy will see more renewable manufacturing in Central Queensland and is key for this region’s economic future.

Yet again, the CSIRO’s GenCost report shows that nuclear energy is significantly more expensive to build than renewables.

Even when you include the additional transmission and storage infrastructure that go along with wind and solar.

Gladstone has an important future under our Future Made in Australia Plan.

We are working with QAL to reduce their carbon emissions by 274,000 tonnes a year. This a great result for climate action and locks in the future of alumina in Gladstone.

Gladstone will also be a huge

Seriously.

Ted O’Brien has the gall to demand more detail from the CSIRO and AEMO on the Gencost report which shows nuclear is expensive and slow to build.

Gencost is 130 pages of detail.

Which is 130 pages more detail than the LNPs nuclear policy, which they are still

Final GenCost report confirms too slow and costly for Australia, and integrated renewables remain by far the lowest cost and quickest option ow.ly/ica550RQ9xl

In a cost of living crisis it is out of touch to even consider nuclear energy in Australia.

We just don't need it. It is costly, cumbersome to build and it generates toxic waste that our kids will one day have to deal with.

It's a no to nuclear.

According to the independent experts at the CSIRO, nuclear energy would be more expensive than reliable renewables and couldn’t be built in Australia before 2040.

Their latest GenCost report confirms Dutton’s risky reactor plan is wrong for Australia.

With AEMO, we've released the annual GenCost 2023-24 report.

The latest report includes a range of changes to the draft in response to feedback. Most notably, the inclusion of large-scale nuclear for the first time.

Here's what we found. 👇 csiro.au/en/news/All/Ne…
