We released nearcore 1.39.0 this week and
- function call base cost is reduced. For small transactions like on Cosmose AI and HOT DAO, it is a 2x reduction in cost and 2x in throughput
- rpc is now faster

Kudos to the team for the great work they did 🎉

NEAR has very little failed transactions as shown in x.com/cuongdc_real/s… Also, as raj 🖤 pointed out, failed transactions are not an issue since users pay gas for them and it is how blockchains work.

More than 20k receipts in a block on testnet 😃

It's teamwork. I only made some minor contributions 🙂

Took longer than expected but it is now done and we have 5 shards on mainnet!

It was unfortunate that the disk space requirement was larger than expected, so some validators failed to perform the upgrade initially. The network is slow as a result. Resharding is currently expected to finish in ~4 hrs

Second resharding in the history of NEAR Protocol going live in ~12 hrs. Very exciting🔥

But it is coming 🙂
