We look to private investors to expedite this process that must be addressed.

Testosterone can regulate the function of meibomian gland - the largest sebaceous gland of the body - which is responsible for the biosynthesis of lipid layer of the tear film to prevent excessive evaporation. The loss of normal functions of meibomian gland is known as meibomian…

The UK deliberately missed the boat on the first bc then health Secretary, Barclay, refused to procure it despite MHRA approval.
Months of relative protection for were lost.
Should history repeat, this is a serious question for Department of Health and Social Care priorities.

From banging pots to bashing doctors.

We've reached the nadir of compassion for our HCW's, Binita Kane

We are not easily replaced... Years of clinical experience still takes years. We both know what it takes to get to where we are.

Germany’s health minister:

“Every infection that is avoided not only eases the burden on the health care system, but also protects the body.”

Calls for self-protection — for example by getting vaccinated for people at risk or masking in public transport.

It goes without saying that I fully support this. What angers me is the fact that it was necessary in the first place for The RCN to contact UK Health Security Agency purely to implement World Health Organization (WHO) infection control recommendations.

Four years in. Airborne pathogen infection control should be a given.

The UK Royal College of Nursing has called for a revision to current guidelines, to implement universal masking & improved ventilation in all healthcare facilities, as recommended by the World Health Organization (WHO).

But will the government take any action this time…?

2/2 & to the LC community -we see u & we hear u. And we will continue to do whatever we can to help/advocate/fight for you, despite all the barriers being repeatedly put in our way…despite the minimising & gaslighting. You guys are resilient & don’t give up & neither will we xx

This Tweet. Claire, Binita and I and many others see these “millions missing” every.single.week. This is the part of LC most people don’t see. It is real. It is horrific. If you don’t have LC you do not want it. Please take good care this Christmas…..1/2

Now in English, the excellent and detailed article on Long Covid and what companies need to do to become mostly Covid-proof.

“Companies have been ignoring the enormous long Covid risk for too long. Now they're paying for it – literally.”

Look at Dr Kat Parmar payslip as
first year doctor in 2005 - £2168

Kat took home per month in 2005 than
first year doctor in 2023 - £2108

They get LESS 18 yrs later

Highest tax burden in 70 yrs, except if you're a Tory non-dom or offshore as many are 😡

Well, peel my tangerines...virus that never went away is still here, with an even bigger wave than the others this Yr, coinciding with flu, woefully restricted vaccines, no mitigations 🙄

So a month ago I said that avoiding a catastrophic NHS winter would be down to luck in avoiding coincident winter respiratorty virus waves. Then, Covid was falling & Flu was low

Unfortunately that luck is running out, with new Covid wave + flu adm's ⬆️ fast. RSV still here too
