Absolutely shocking that the Joburg City Library has been closed since 2021! As a young kid eSoweto who lived in our library Emndeni, that place was a museum of possibilities, it allowed a nerd like me to make friends, join the library committees & volunteer. This is an injustice

Comment: this travesty of a ⁦City of Joburg⁩ run by the ANC-EFF names a library square and environs for Beyers Naudè, Arthur Chaskalson, Albertina Sisulu and then shuts the library for 4 years! 4 years! These greats would be turning in their graves. What a tragedy.
