2014: When picked Nabers, it's tough to not envision him having the same impact as an LSU rookie who joined NYG 10 years earlier in Odell Beckham Jr. Odell was more than the 1 handed catch, he could explode on any play for a score & showed hands & burst. Nabers can be that guy too

1993: fans travel well. Going down into Miami late in the season, Rodney Hampton scored a TD & Joe Robbie Stadium erupted just like they were playing at Giants Stadium. Hoping to see more of that on the road in 2024 as the team continues it's climb back

He was an amazing broadcast partner and friend. Welcomed me into the booth with open arms. He had a tremendous football IQ. I learned so much from him.

1995: HBD Arthur Marshall NFL turns 55. traded for Marshall during the 1994 draft, sending a 7th round pick to Denver. He played 3 years for NYG but scored his lone TD in a loss to the Bears. Unfortunately for him, NYG fans remember him as the guy Reeves kept over McCaffrey

HBD to legend Dick Lynch who would have been 88 today. Lynch 2x led the NFL w/ 9 picks & set a record w/ 3 TDs in 1963 & is 4th all time in INTs for NYG. He was also a radio analyst for NYG for 40 years w/ Jim Gordon Bob Papa Carl Banks

1986: HBD Mark Bavaro. Perhaps the signature play of his career & the enduring highlight of Super Bowl championship run. Bavaro helping to spur a comeback down 17-0 at the half by dragging Ronnie Lott & friends for a big gain in NYG 21-17 win on MNF at SF

HBD Mark Bavaro. If fans today can't stand Philly, I still think it was nothing like the 1980s & how much the fans & NYG themselves hated the Eagles & Buddy in particular. Think how bad he had to have been to get a reaction like this out of Bavaro, who never said a word

1990: HBD Mark Bavaro. His final receptions as a player get lost to history a bit. But Bavaro had 2 key catches on the NYG final scoring drive to put them in position for Matt Bahr's FG in the 4Q which put NYG up 20-19, the winning points in Super Bowl XXV.

1990: HBD Mark Bavaro. Bavaro's torn ACL in 1989 ended his season & altered his career & might have cost a championship. Fighting back from the injury, nearly 1 year from the date, he caught a career long 61 yard pass & later a TD in NYG 24-20 win at RFK

1987: HBD Mark Bavaro. In a strike shortened 12 games, Bavaro caught 55 passes for 867 yards & 8 TDs. He would have shattered his old team TE records set in 86 (66 catches/1001 yards). He also caught the 1st ever TD on ESPN in the network's 1st NFL broadcast on SNF

1986: HBD Mark Bavaro. trailed 10-9 at half to the Denver Broncos in Super Bowl XXI. Starting 3Q, after a fake punt, Bavaro's 13 yard TD from Phil Simms put NYG up 16-10 & the team wouldn't look back in a 39-20 victory. NYG 1st Super Bowl championship

1986: HBD Mark Bavaro. As he did in the Wild Card round the year before, Bavaro scored ' 1st TD vs the 49ers in the playoffs at Giants Stadium. Right after Rice's fumble, his 24 yard TD from Phil Simms opened the scoring in a 49-3 blowout win

1986: HBD Mark Bavaro. How tough was the TE? He took a shot to his head by Antonio Gibson which spun Bavaro sideways & broke his jaw in 1Q. He came back in 2Q to catch this TD pass to help spur a comeback from being down 17-0 in a NYG 20-17 win over Saints

1985: HBD Mark Bavaro. starting TE Zeke Mowatt tore his ACL in the final preseason game & was lost for the year. Rookie Bavaro worked his way into the lineup as a blocker & by end of season was a weapon. His 1 handed TD in the Wild Card put NYG up 10-0

1985: HBD Mark Bavaro. A record breaking day for in a loss at Cincy but a coming out party for rookie Bavaro. Phil Simms threw for a still team record 513 yards. Bavaro coming into the game w/ only 4 catches & considered a 'blocker' had a record 12 for 176 yards.

1985: HBD Mark Bavaro. He scored his 1st NFL TD for in a win at Philly. His 2nd pro catch was this TD. A couple of things:
- Madden notes that Bavaro was really known only as a blocker
- Bavaro accidentally nails himself in the crotch celebrating

1985: HBD Mark Bavaro. A 4th rounder from Notre Dame, Bavaro's 1st pro game was the preseason Hall of Fame game between & Oilers. Bavaro caught his 1st pass from Jeff Hostetler & 1st TD from Jeff Rutledge. Phil Simms suffered a cut on his hand but was ok

1986: HBD Mark Bavaro who turns 61. If not for injuries, Bavaro would be in consideration for the best TE to ever play. In his 2nd season, he was the best in the NFL & put up the only 1000 yard season in history for a TE. 'He's a stone face that Bavaro'

2011: Post NFL draft, it's time to remember one of the best UDFAs in NFL history. signed Victor Cruz out of UMass in 2010. In 2011, his 1st NFL TD + his signature salsa, set up improbable 82 catch, 1536 yard, 9 TD season which ended in a Super Bowl title
