2007: HBD Michael Johnson. He took part in one of the most important plays in #NYGiants history in the NFCC Game at Green Bay. When McQuarters fumbled the punt late in the game tied 20-20, Johnson poked it away 1st, then David Tollefson & Domenik Hixon recovered saving the game

1992: HBD Lamar McGriggs who turns 56. He was #NYGiants 8th rounder out of Western Illinois in 1991 & played 2 seasons for the team as a DB/special teamer. After 2 years w/ Vikings, he ended up in Canada where he played 10 years in the CFL. Also, Handley's shirt🔥

1967: HBD Bill Triplett turns 84. He joined #NYGiants in 1967 after 4 seasons in St. Louis & played 1 year for NYG. He scored the only 2 TDs of his NYG career vs his old team in season opening 37-20 win. His brother Mel Triplett played for NYG from 1955-1960

2009: HBD Danny Clark turns 47. #NYGiants signed Clark as a free agent in 2008 & he spend 2 years w/ NYG after starting his career as a 7th round pick in 2000 at Jax. In all he had a successful 11 year career & registered his 1st sack as a NYG off Kurt Warner to save a TD

2008: HBD Michael Johnson turns 40. #NYGiants picked him in 7th round of 2007 draft & he played 4 years for NYG as a safety/special teamer. He got his 1st 2 INTs in the NFL in NYG 29-17 win over the 49ers

2011: #NYGiants rookies report to camp tomorrow through Saturday & a reminder to have patience w/ young players. Victor Cruz had a drop from Eli Manning & prevented a 1st down in his 1st game. He had 2 catches for 17 yards next week. The last 14 games? 80 catches, 1519 yards, 9 TDs

1986: Raul Allegre didn't start the season on #NYGiants roster. He joined the team in Week 4 after Bill Parcells cut 2 kickers in the 1st 3 games. For the 2nd straight week, he would deliver the go ahead FG, this from 34 yards out, his 4th FG of the game & NYG beat Denver 19-16

2020: HBD Austin Johnson turns 30. #NYGiants signed Johnson as a free agent before 2020 season to add depth on DL after playing 4 seasons for Titans. He would play 2 years for NYG starting 17 games. He had a forced fumble & a sack at Los Angeles vs Rams.

1973: HBD Bob Grim turns 79. When #NYGiants acquired Francis Tarkenton from the Vikings in 1967, one of the draft picks in the trade to Minnesota turned out to be Grim, who ended up traded back to NYG for Fran in 1972. He had a career high 137 yards in a loss to the Cards

1987: One of the great nicknames in #NYGiants history was for a 5'8', 158 pound WR. Stephen Baker 'The Touchdown Maker'. He scored his 1st NFL TD on a bomb from Jeff Rutledge in New Orleans where he spun around (& spun Van Jakes around too) for a 46 yards.

2015: HBD Rueben Randle. Randle had 5 games w/ over 100 receiving yards for #NYGiants in his career. That included a 7 catch, 116 yard effort where his juggling 41 yard TD on a bomb from Eli Manning put the game away late in a 32-21 win on TNF vs Washington

2014: HBD Rueben Randle. Randle had a break out 2014 season w/ #NYGiants . He finished w/ career highs of 71 catches for 938 yards. In his final 2 games v Rams & Eagles, he logged 12 catches for 290 yards & a TD, and came so close to 1000 yards receiving on the year

2012: Happy 33rd Birthday to Rueben Randle. As a rookie Randle caught the first 2 TDs as the Eagles rolled over in Andy Reid's final game as Philly coach in #NYGiants 42-7 blowout win. A former 2nd rounder out of LSU in 2012, Randle would play 4 years for NYG

2007: HBD Steve Smith II. The most underrated play of Super Bowl XLII was Smith's 3rd & 11 conversion in the final drive in #NYGiants Super Bowl win. It's easy to get lost between the Helmet Catch & what came immediately after to Plaxico Burress to put NYG up 17-14.

2008/2009: HBD Steve Smith II. #NYGiants have had a number of top WRs the past 20 years (@Amanitoomer1 Plaxico Burress Victor Cruz Odell Beckham Jr Sterling Shepard,etc), but Smith might well have been the best route runner of all of them. Here were just 2 examples of him abusing DBs

1993: HBD Clarence Jones turns 56. #NYGiants picked Jones in 4th round of 1991 draft to add depth on OL & he played 3 years for NYG, mainly as a backup & played on specials. Here you see him wearing #68 celebrating Daluiso's game winning 54 yard FG into the wind

2014: Happy 38th Birthday to DT Markus Kuhn, or Herzlichen Glückwunsch zum Geburtstag! Kuhn returned this fumble 26 yards for a TD in #NYGiants 36-7 win v Titans. Fun fact- NYG were 5-0 vs Houston Oilers & 2-6 since they moved to Tennessee, w/ this their 1st win (2nd was 2022)
