I should point out that even some cryptozoologists have proposed that what people are seeing is another undiscovered species of manatee and not Steller's sea cow. That's how visible they were and how limited their diet was

Woolly cheetahs are a possibly species of cheetah known for having thicker woolly fur and a larger body in comparison with known cheetahs. Discussions about the cryptid date back to 1877, though scientists were skeptical that it was a new species and not just an unusual cheetah

The xizi is a Chinese cryptid described as a large bloodsucking mat. The creature attacks people by wrapping around them and trying to drown them. Cryptozoologists have speculated that errant freshwater stingrays or possibly freshwater cephalopods are responsible.

What if there were? In cryptozoology there are a handful of reports of snakes with legs. One comes from West Papua of a six legged snake, and a two-legged horned snake being found in Japan was reported by The Straits Times in 1922

One of the neat things about Steller's sea cow sightings is that there have been fairly frequent reports for centuries. In 1777, not even a decade after the species went extinct there was a 'manatee' report, and a recent report happened in 2006.

Dwarf hippos remain strong in the oral traditions of some Malagasy groups. David A. Burney recorded sightings of the kilopilopitsofy, a dwarf hippo like creature, being seen as recently in the as the 1970s in the coastal town of Belo sur Mer.

One of the more interesting interpretations of the dingonek is that it's a big cat with armored scales, most prominently proposed by Bernard Heuvelmans. Here Philippe Coudray depicts it as a yellow water lion

Had the day off so new cryptid art, suggested by the boy Legendary Cryptids

The Ndegi; not much info on this one, a flying bird taller than a man covered in “thick, heavy hair” with feathered wings and a monkey-like head.

Can you find the sasquatch in this picture?

These photos were sent to the Skeptic magazine by Jon-Erik Beckjord, who says they were taken in California. According to him a large bigfoot is standing by this vehicle. Needless to say, it didn't quite prove bigfoot's existence!
