Our BUILD program continues in Toronto this week with a visit to Queen’s Park to immerse our group into leadership and advocacy. We’re very appreciative for the time of our special guests Hon. Wayne Easter, Hon. Lisa Thompson, Ron Bonnett, John Masswohl and Michael Keegan.

We are proud to support AgScape in their efforts to engage with students about where food comes from. The thinkAG Career Competitions are a great way to introduce students to the many career opportunities in the agriculture sector.

Congrats to BFO Director Joost van der Heiden (Joost van der Heiden) who was elected to the Farm & Food Care Ontario Board of Directors this morning. Special thanks to outgoing ex-officio FFCO Director and BFO VP Jason Leblond (@JasonLeblond1) for his time with FFCO over the last couple of years.

We are looking forward to engaging conversations with high school students in the GTA today at the ⁦AgScape⁩ ThinkAg Career Competition. The Guardians of the Grasslands game gives students a chance to learn how beef farmers work with the environment and wildlife habitat.

CCA Board Representatives Matt Bowman and Jason Leblond met with Senator Victor Oh to discuss industry trade and specified risk material management.

Wrapping up our BUILD leadership program session tonight with a panel discussion moderated by Christina Crowley-Arklie. We sincerely appreciate Sandi Brock Ian McKillop and Brendan Byrne (He/Him) for coming to share more about their leadership journey in agriculture. Thank you to all 🙏!
