Excited to showcase films by St. Clair Bourne (1943–2007) at Barbican Centre on Feb 20th.
A trailblazing African American documentary filmmaker, Bourne used his work to explore Black culture.

One of my favourite things about the film was the incredible costumes and choices of fabrics. Can't wait to get to the Barbican Centre to see the exhibition.
Channelling my inner Bella Baxter at Barbican Centre's #PoorThings exhibit.
Stunned anyway by the costuming in Yorgos Lanthimos's film anyway but reading on how Holly Waddington infused different aspects of Victorian culture into the designs...
Didn't think it possible for My Neighbour Totoro Barbican Centre to get even better with time, but Mei Mac Ami Okumura Jones just *are* those sisters now. Everyone involved in this show is a wonder. Laughing and crying simultaneously is exhausting. More East Asian representation, pls industry!
★★★★★ My Neighbour Totoro | Barbican Centre | Until 23 March
A magical stage reimagining of the Studio Ghibli classic, this puppet-fuelled My Neighbour Totoro does more than simply warm the cockles – it embodies an abundance of love and adventure.

If you're into costume design, you should definitely head to Barbican Centre to see some of Waddington's exquisite costumes for POOR THINGS (on the Ground Floor, just near the Barbican Kitchen).
They have a small but perfectly formed exhibition of the costumes from POOR THINGS Barbican Centre - they're gorgeous and the level of craft and attention to detail is amazing. Well worth a trip if you're in London.
