Quite a lot of Birnentriebwespe attacks at the nursery again this year. You can tell it’s a pear shoot wasp by the spiral of black dots under the afflicted part.

It’s great to have a co-founder return with an article. I just wish it didn’t have to be about such a grim yet important topic.

May has started off pretty bloody good, despite being stricken down with a lurgy brought back from England and having to cancel this weekend’s trip to a pomologist event. For a start, we finished paying off our mortgage. Now that’s something to celebrate!

I’m a terrible patient. After a sleepless night of coughing a lung up, I just need some fresh moist air to ease my throat. Anu taking it slow. She knows. Anyway, IPPP meadow is coming on. And very happy to see the field next door will not be sprayed with chemicals this year!

Shit happens when I leave the safety of Schefflenz and venture into crowded trains and planes, but at least it wasn’t this shit. But still had to retire to bed in the afternoon. Might be cancelling my next apple-related trip away. 😕
