I think our local Dippers have gone. They were nest building in March, but whether it's the building work going on above their bridge, or the Sparrowhawk I saw chasing one of them down stream nearly a month ago, I fear the worst. I loved them too much, so miss them terribly.

Can we please have a shout out for hoverflies? These unsung heroes may not be as flamboyant as butterflies or as cute as bumblebees, but they’re important pollinators that also help control pests like aphids.

Held in Whitecross Village Hall, near Bodinnick, in Cornwall.
