If you get confused over what type of Red Clover you might have found, i.e. Red, Zig Zag or Alsike, check the stipules. Red Clover has a membranous stipule with a bristle like tip, the others don't. The leave here looked like Zig Zag, but the stipule proved otherwise.
T. pratense

Glechoma hederacea.
Ground-ivy if you must but I much prefer Alehoof. This was a key ingredient in the brewing of ale before hops were first imported in the late 15th Century. What better than beer & botany? 🍺+

Red Campion - Silene dioica may be common but its nectar rich flowers are essential for many pollinating insects. These were quite striking in colour among paler flowers on a verge

Day out around Camloch, S Armagh

On the banks of Camloch, blackthorn thicket is a nursery for tree saplings and woodland plants: bluebell, pignut, barren strawberry, yellow pimpernel, early dog-violet, primroses and fresh ferns.

I've long had a soft spot for this unobtrusive plant with it's tiny flowers. Wall Speedwell, Veronica arvensis. It occurs in a wide range of habitats but I most often see it on dune and limestone grasslands.

Hyacinthoides x massartiana, the hybrid Bluebell, beside its parent, the non-native Hyacinthoides hispanica (Spanish Bluebell) at an overgrown flower bed today. Intermediate in character, e.g. the hanging nature of H. non-scripta. BSBI: Botanical Society of Britain & Ireland

We have many different species of in the UK. Diminutive or waving from above knee height. One thing they have in common is how important they are for our ecosystem.

This Marsh Violet was a new flower for me. I looked for it last year and found hundreds of plants - but no flowers!
It is known as a 'shy flowerer', meaning the plants don't flower every year.
I only found 14 flowers amongst dozens of plants with their distinctive rounded leaves.
