The funeral procession for Trooper, Jonathan “JJ” Johnson is expected to begin shortly. Once the procession begins, Campbell Lane will be closed from Westen St. to Lovers Lane.

Academy Class 7 is being introduced to defensive tactics during week three. As police officers, they will enter all types of unknown, possibly violent situations and must be able to defend themselves and others. Practice must continue as officers to maintain skills.

Sgt. Hogue joined officers from around the country in Atlanta this week for the PLECET Conference. Attendees learned skills to enhance community engagement and strengthen relationships. They also participated in community service projects throughout Atlanta.

Congratulations to Cadet Glasscock on graduating from Western Kentucky University today! Cadet Glasscock served throughout her undergraduate career and you likely saw her at school crossings or deploying our speed trailers. We are proud of all that she has accomplished!
