Today we say a fond farewell to Mrs Atkinson, CEO of our trust. Many of you may remember Mrs Atkinson as headteacher at BCHS, where she worked tirelessly to turn the school into the success it is today. She'll be missed dearly & we wish her all the best in her retirement.

Our post 16 students have been busy getting ready for their stall on Blackburn Market tomorrow. They have made a variety of handmade gifts, plus Easter and Eid items. They'll be on the market from 9.30am-11.30am tomorrow morning, if you are passing please do come and say hello.

A group of 30 students had a fantastic time when they went on a school trip to Lancaster Castle. The trip was a reward for 100% attendance in the previous half term. Whilst there, they visited the police museum, which used to be a real prison & had a guided tour of the castle.

Our next Mums & Daughters session will take place next Wednesday from 3-4pm. IMO Charity will be delivering the session, which will focus on wellbeing and mindfulness. If you would like to attend please email [email protected].

Happy #WorldBookDay everyone! Spent it chatting about being an author with pupils Blackburn Central High School in Blackburn and working with Yr10s on story ideas. Thanks to Miss Loonat and librarian Jen for the warm welcome and fab Gangsta Granny and Prof McGonagall costumes!

Our year 8 Spanish students were served a culinary delight when Amanda, our chef at school, cooked them a traditional paella to try in class. Excitement levels were high & for good reason, the paella smelled and tasted amazing!

We have so much going on in school tomorrow to celebrate World Book Day. There'll be quizzes, creative writing workshops, literacy competitions & we're very lucky to have author Linda Green coming into school. Linda will run an assembly & writing workshop with our students.

We celebrated #WorldEngineeringDay2024 yesterday by running a STEM First Event in partnership with In4Group.

We welcomed Pupils from PleckgateHighSchool, Tauheedal Boys School, Darwen Aldridge Community Academy, and Blackburn Central High School to participate in a host of STEM related activities across the day! 🙌

A huge thank you to Future U #UniConnect, who are in school all week delivering career assemblies as part of National Careers Week 2024. This morning students learnt all about the various options available to them after leaving school.
