Their efforts in some difficult terrains were very much appreciated. These crews are returning home today, May 28.

Thank you to Government of Yukon and their 3 initial attack crews that recently provided support in wildfire suppression operations in the North Peace Complex near Fort Nelson.
Yukon personnel worked alongside our BC Wildfire Service firefighters and contractors on the North Peace Complex.

Three initial attack crews and a response officer are responding with additional support from two helicopters and a birddog en route.

The wildfire is burning on a steep slope and displaying rank 3 and 4 fire behaviour, meaning a vigorous surface fire with a moderate rate of spread. No structures are currently threatened.
