Today history was made as Dame Sue Carr was sworn in as the Lady Chief Justice of England and Wales.

Here you can see the new sign outside Court 4.

Dame Sue Carr today becomes, and will be known as, the LCJ of England and Wales.

She will be the President of the Courts of England and Wales and Head of the Judiciary of England and Wales.

She is the 98th person to hold this office and the first woman.
