The group was established in 2003 to share ways and ideas to improve the industry standards, and consists of members from main European Airlines.🤝

BALPA's General Secretary Amy Leversidge joined BBC Newsnight last night to discuss the Singapore Airlines incident.

BALPA working in Bristows are resolute and united that helicopter pilots and tech crews do an incredibly valuable job and they deserve fair pay. Bristows need to come back to the negotiating table and make us a reasonable offer.

As I said on BBC Newsnight last night BALPA sends our sincere condolences to those impacted by the tragic events yesterday. Severe turbulence is very rare and pilots have extensive training. Safety is always the number one priority for every pilot.

Was great to be up in Aberdeen today for the second week of strike action in Bristows. The feeling amongst BALPA members was disappointment that management are yet to offer a fair pay deal but absolutely resolute and united in knowing their value and their worth.
