31 May 1935 | A Dutch Jewish girl, Marianne Nunes Vas, was born in Amsterdam.
In February 1943 she was deported to #Auschwitz and murdered in a gas chamber.
31 May 1911 | A Czech Jew, Kurt Singer, was born in Prague.
He was deported to #Auschwitz from #Theresienstadt Ghetto on 1 February 1943. He did not survive.
31 May 1921 | An Austrian Jew, Herman Rager, was born in Vienna.
In #Auschwitz from 27 February 1942.

30 May 1887 | A Polish Jew, Abram Wajshof, was born in Piotrków Trybunalski. A clerk.

30 maja 1939 | A Dutch Jewish girl, Emma van der Sluis, was born in Veghel.
In October 1942 she was deported to #Auschwitz with her mother Belia and he sisters Henriëtte and Elizabeth (in the pic). They were all probably murdered in a gas chamber after the selection.
30 May 1889 | A Jewish man Israel Steinfeld was born in Jönköping, Sweden. At the age of 3 his family emigrated to Norway.
He was deported to #Auschwitz on 26 November 1942. He was registered & perished in the camp on 15 May 1943.
30 May 1890 | A Czech Jewish woman, Henrieta Potměšilová, was born in Vienna.
She was deported to #Auschwitz from #Theresienstadt Ghetto on 12 October 1944. She was murdered in a gas chamber after the selection.
30 May 1924 | A Polish man, Marian Szpik, was born in Porąbka. A locksmith.
In #Auschwitz from 7 August 1942.

30 May 1943 | SS doctor Josef Mengele became the chief physician of the #Zigeunerlager (Gypsy camp) at Auschwitz II-Birkenau. He was almost 32 years old. He was responsible for deadly pseudo-medical experiments on prisoners, mainly twins.
