The end of the Assange extradition case. The US Govt gets an exit and can blame the UK Judiciary for not handing him over. It keeps the door open for future extradition attempts and prevents Julian from travelling outside of Australia. Disgusting US lawfare but freedom at last.

The US non-assurance regarding First Amendment rights for Julian opens the door for UK Judges to end this injustice. In high-profile political cases backroom deals between Governments are not unusual and this has all the hallmarks of a US Govt exit from a deeply unpopular case.
