I lost my sister yesterday & then I heard the news about #JerryGrote , another #69Met teammate passing away. I don’t want to answer my phone anymore. How do we get through days like yesterday? We just need to keep telling loved ones & friends how special they are! #Life

Yesterday 4/2 I mentioned it was a sad day remembering #GilHodges passing away in 1972. On the other hand it was ‘69 Met teammate #AlWeis birthday. Happy 86th to a special person & #1969 #WorldSeriesHero . #MLB #NYMets . #MetFans

On 4/2/72 we lost #GilHodges . A terrific #MLB Manager & truly a great man. He was no nonsense on the field & an #AmericanHero to many. No doubt the #Mets would have won more #Championships if he hadn’t died. His life on & off the field is a testament to his legacy. #69Mets
