The Army has today announced that Maj Gen Bob Bruce CBE DSO will formally take over as Governor of Edinburgh Castle in September 2024.

Finishing his distinguished military career as MS and GOS in 2020 he will now take on this ceremonial role for the Army in Scotland.

The Army has just commissioned a new Bagpiper called Elvis!
