AppalCART is working to take our capacity to a new level this summer.

AppalCART will be closed Friday, July 4th in recognition of Independence Day. We hope everyone has a fun and safe holiday.

AppalCART will be introducing our first double decker bus on Tuesday, July 8, 2025 at 10 am. The ribbon cutting ceremony will be from 10 am - 11 am with brief comments at 10:30 am at the AppalCART Facility located at 305 NC Hwy 105 Bypass, Boone, NC.

We are excited to be hitting the road with the latest addition to our fleet. The double decker will be used to carry heavy loads on the POP 105 route when classes begin at App State. We will be testing it out during move-in week to make sure we are ready when classes start.

Purple will not run today (8/8/2025) due to road construction on Meadowview Drive.

The Peacock Circle Stop and turnaround have been moved to the area between the west side of Peacock Hall and the Estes House to prioritize pedestrian access to buses and sidewalks. The passenger boarding area will be on the end near Howard St.

The Purple Route will be taking a detour today and experience some delays due to the repaving on Meadowview Drive and the route we have to take to get the bus back towards campus. Thank you for your patience. (8/19/2025)

On Monday, 09/01/2025, fixed routes (Red, Green, Teal, Maroon, Gold, and Pop 105) will operate on a Sunday Schedule. the State Farm shuttle will run 4 pm - 12:30 am. There will be no rural route or POA service that day. The State Farm shuttle will not run on, 08/31/2025.

The double decker is running on Pop 105 today. Due to low hanging limbs on White Oak Rd, we will be unable to serve White Oak Rd or Caldwell Community College. Please use the West Haven or Builders Plaza stops to access the Pop 105 route. (09/06/2025)
