Today is the 50th anniversary of the famed #ChipkoMovement of #GauraDevi in #Uttarakhand . Ironically, Sonam Wangchuk has now been on a #CLIMATEFAST for the past 20 days. While the two movements are 50 years apart, this one in #Ladakh will surely be remembered for a long, long time.

Today is International Waste Pickers Day. Got the opportunity to interact with the waste pickers of Cantonment Board Dehradun this evening. Good gesture by CEO Cantt Board, Shri Abhinav Singh to assemble the waste pickers, recognise their efforts & listen to their experiences & suggestions! 👍
