Publish-or-perish is one of the biggest barriers in genomics and can often be used as a substitute against delivering value to the African people. 2/2

I've always not been a fan of 'publish or perish', especially for genomics projects in Africa. I'm more focused on delivering value to the African people that provoke local actions. When a scientific article or paper comes out of such endeavour, I celebrate and I'm happy too. 1/2
