I got to see Mars Express and I thought it was really great. It’s a beautifully animated and riveting sci-fi neo noir that benefits from some cool world building, and interesting mystery, and distinct characters. It’s definitely a film well worth checking out.

As someone who considers Up my favorite animated film of all time, I've got to say this has got to be one of the craziest things I've ever seen. And I love it.

There is no ideal length for a film. To me, what matters is if the film is good and it can be as long or as short as it wants in order to tell its story. I just want them to tell it well.

The Mitchells Vs. The Machines deserves more love.

GKIDS has finally announced the release dates for the home video version of The Boy and the Heron. The film will be released digitally on June 25th and on Blu-Ray on July 9th and will be the first Studio Ghibli film released in 4K. I can't wait to grab this and watch it again.

On the on hand, Bob Bakish leaving Paramount was for the best since he made an absolute mess of the studio. On the other hand, I’m worried about how will replace him cause we do NOT need another film merger and someone incompetent taking over the company.

Have the pencil test of the Part of Your World number from The Little Mermaid. The song was what convinced Glen Keane to animate Ariel for the film whom he's called his favorite character he's animated and he animated her entirely for this entire scene. Such incredible work.

Have some concept art of Earth-65 (Gwen's World) from Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse by Dean Gordon. I absolutely love the colors of this world and I can see how they used the look of Cinderella as inspiration for the pinks, purples, and greens.

Have some concept art from Turning Red by Keiko Murayama. I just love the character designs of the film so much.

I don't know what's more astonishing about the iconic ballroom shot from Beauty and the Beast. The fact that James Baxter did this entire shot by himself or the fact he was just 24 when animated it. Either way, it is just incredible to watch every single time.

Netflix has announced that they will be showing off sneak previews of some of their animated films at Annecy including the world premiere of Ultraman Rising as well as first looks at the new Wallace and Gromit film, The Twits, and That Christmas. I'm very excited to see them!

I am so happy to be living in a world where The Boy and the Heron was not only critically successful and won an Oscar, but also was financially successful with people going to see Studio Ghibli and Hayao Miyazaki's masterpiece in theaters.

It really makes me so upset and angry seeing so many promising animated films get scrapped this decade, mainly due to studio incompetence. It's been so disheartening to see as someone who wanted to see them and I just hope this stops and that these projects find happy endings.

It's absolutely disgusting that this man and his cronies continue to receive more money despite the horrible actions they've made during the company and it really makes me angry that he got this much money last year when actors and writers were on strike. Absolutely infuriating.

I got to check out Spy X Family: Code White and I thought it was a total blast. It has a lot of the fun you would expect from the show and is filled with some cool action, hilarious hijinks, and amazing animation. Definitely worth checking out.
