Why are Pakistan Medical & Dental Council & Government of Punjab still silent about Avicenna? Are they waiting for more bodies to pile up before taking action against private medical institutions abusing & extorting students to death with impunity?

Wrote this thread 6 years ago after seeing evidence of abuse by the pathologically authoritarian owners of Avicenna. Found out today there have been multiple student suicides at the college since. It is beyond belief how much abuse of power we allow unchecked in this country.

Have been hearing horror stories about #Avicenna admin for years, including physical punishments & brazen extortion. Now hearing of another student's death by cardiac arrest after being denied sick leave. There needs to be an investigation & Pakistan Medical & Dental Council needs to act now.

Infuriating that Capital Development Authority, Islamabad. has left the E11 flyover blocked months after completion, causing a daily bottleneck on Margalla Rd that adds 15-20min for a 1min turning. Not only do they spend billions on these monstrous vanity projects, their incompetence adds to public misery.

If you are outraged then join these students as Progressive Students’ Collective protests in Lahore in-front of the US Embassy on Tuesday at 1 pm.

Screaming 'shouting is not a discussion' while ordering Pakistani students to be thrown out of an event in their own country for daring to call out his govt's support for genocide. What ugly imperial arrogance. More power to Progressive Students’ Collective students.
