Today my prayer is simple: please keep the protesters - faculty, students, staff, community members- safe. The violence is clearly escalating and these babies deserve to protest peacefully in a country purportedly founded on free speech.

If not radicalized, we should all be paying close attention and asking why this level of backlash to peaceful requests to end a genocide we are being forced to fund.

2020 felt bleak but 2024 feels even more hopeless if that’s possible. Proud of people using their voices, bodies and privilege to protest the ongoing genocide in Gaza. Praying for a reprieve from years and years of unprecedented happenings. It’s too much.

They are prepared and they are brave.

In case we forget, THIS is why students across so many universities are protesting.
This mass grave included children.

There’s a privilege to protesting. Really proud of students from CUNY for joining.

Watching middle age and people of privilege get arrested and interacting with the police/carceral system is going to radicalize a lot of Americans.

Look at their shirt. Prince would be proud.
These students are our way.
