Everything is stupid. This is Sharif Suad, an Arab/Palestinian citizen of Israel, killed last night by a missile fired from Lebanon by Hezbollah while driving his truck at work. To historians he will be an asterisk. But his family will mourn for decades. And for what? For shame.

There is, and there can be, a wide range of opinions on the university protests. But unleashing police violence on them is wrong in every possible way.

Our seeming collective inability to focus on more than one thing at a time is literally killing people. However important the Columbia protests may be, it is *more* important for aid to continue to flow into Gaza. Can we *please* make that the top headline again?

Palestinians and Israelis who are willing to go all the way to the line where common ground can be found are often called 'traitors' by people on their own side. I've never been so proud and happy to be friends with so many 'traitors.'
