@Cristian7862 @topntran The difference between WWI and now is that everyone back then (in terms of the rulers of affected countries) wanted the war. They were eager to show off their latest military innovations. There hasn't been a hunger for world war since the atom bombs were made. It's too costly.

KillGrayson @Cristian7862 @topntran Sure, against countries like Iraq who- importantly- don't have nuclear capabilities, that is very much the case. As sad as it is for Ukraine, the US/NATO isn't going to go to bat for them to the scale of full armed conflict with Russia.
