(Amanda) Betty and Colin's granddaughters came to see us yesterday. I'm usually very shy with little humans but not with these. All they want to do is make a fuss of us and take photos. I'm used to that so I don't mind at all.

(Barbs) I don't know what to write about this morning. I'm sorry about that but there hasn't been any news and nothing exciting has happened. Maybe that's a good thing, we need quiet times as well as busy ones, don't we?

(Amanda) I've been thinking about things. You know how many cats like to have our belly rubbed when we do this? Well, I wonder if only cats do it, or maybe some humans do it too? I can't imagine that ancient ones would, but you never know. It would be funny though, wouldn't it?

(Amanda) Betty likes this photo of me. She says I remind her of Dorothy Dumpling. I never met DD so I don't know if that's a good thing or a bad thing. I've heard a bit about her, she was beautiful but naughty. Barbs was a bit scared of her. Do you think he's scared of me?

(Amanda) This green stuff is called 'netting'. Colin puts it over fruit plants to stop the birds from eating the fruit. I didn't know birds did that, did you? There's so much to learn but I'll leave that to the humans. I'm happy just to relax on the netting.

(Barbs) Colin showed me one of his Artie-chokes yesterday. I thought it looked very interesting but not the sort of thing I would fancy eating. Colin loves them. He says it isn't so easy to find them in shops in England but they are easy to grow. I think they're weird.

(Barbs) I walked over to the Memorial Garden with Betty yesterday. It was lovely to be with Robert's statue and even though I know it's only a statue, it made me feel very peaceful. The plants are looking beautiful thanks to Pip and Rachel's care.

(Barbs) Amanda seems to be different these days. I get the feeling she likes me a bit more than she used to. We haven't had head-bumps but just getting this close without her trying to smack me is a good thing. I don't think I will ever understand women.

(Barbs) Betty told me that the white stuff I am sitting on is called polystyrene and it's bad for the environmant. I don't understand any of that but I know one thing - it's lovely and warm to sit on! It's funny how things that are bad can be so good in other ways.

(Amanda) Can you believe there is a magazine about allotments? I don't know why anyone would want to read it but the humans seem to love it. I could understand if it was about cats, but allotments? Really? Humans are funny creatures, aren't they? Each to their own I suppose.

(Janet) Sometimes I see Amanda running past my plot. She follows Colin to his plot and stays with him for ages. I'm not like that. I love Betty and Colin but I love my own company too. I know some humans think I'm strange but it's just the way I am.Are there other cats like me?

(Barbs) Colin's plot is very interesting. That plant I'm sitting next to is an Artichoke. I don't know why it's called that, maybe someone called Artie choked on it, who knows? Those things on top of the sticks are to stop him getting poked in the eye when he bends over.

(Amanda) I only discovered this window the other day. It's usually covered with this white thing so I hadn't noticed it before. Betty says I'm a very inquisitive girl but I don't know if that's a good thing or a bad thing. It's a weird word isn't it?

(Barbs) Thank you so much for all the lovely messages about Steve 🌈 Betty said that Steve would have been surprised to know so many of you cared about him. He didn't know how fantastic our followers are! Steve was always joking and I'm going to remember those happy times.

(Barbs) Betty and Colin had some very sad news yesterday. Their son-in-law Steve went to 🌈. I knew him and he was always so kind and happy.
Why do bad things happen to such good humans?

(Amanda) I was a very naughty girl yesterday - I bit Colin's hand! I don't know what came over me but I couldn't seem to help it. I think he's forgiven me but I'm worried I might do it again. What can I do? I know Barbs doesn't do things like that, is it just a girl-cat thing?

(Barbs) I've discovered something strange - all cars don't sound the same!
I know the sound of Colin's car even before I see it and I wait outside for him. I wonder if anyone else has noticed this about cars?

(Amanda) Betty thinks I look cute in this photo but I don't know why. I only tucked my paws away to be more comfortable. She thinks I did it deliberately for the photo. Humans have weird ideas sometimes but I suppose they can't help it. She's not too bad really, she means well.

(Amanda) I gave Betty a lovely surprise yesterday. She was sitting down so I crept up behind her and leapt onto her shoulder! After she calmed down she made a fuss of me. I'm going to keep doing it and I think she will get used to it. What do you think? Is it a good thing to do?

(Barbs) I made a new friend yesterday. She is a follower from a place called 'Canada', have you heard of it? I was a bit shy to start but then I relaxed and enjoyed the fuss. She's like Betty and doesn't want a photo of her face so it's just her arm. I gave her some of my hair.
