Just seen the two horses that have escaped in London. They were in the covent garden uniqlo, trying on the crossbody bags. They were walking on two legs. They were sipping on flat whites. They told me they want a taste of our world.

Love to try on glasses at the opticians and be faced with trying to find my reflection in the three inexplicably weird mirrors available: 1. tiny rectangle mirror sort of at head level, 2. magnifying mirror smaller than my (admittedly large) face, 3. really long thin mirror?

There is no such thing as “a sick note culture.” There is a record high NHS waiting list, crippling housing costs, widespread food poverty, stagnant wages and inadequate benefit rates, a broken social care system, dire mental health services, and closed Sure Start centres.

anytime I ring my grandma before 2pm, I get a 'oh, surprised you're up at this time'. I am thirty three. 'have you just got up?' I am on my lunch break at work.

Jeremy Hunt boasting about nine months of real pay growth.

Fair enough! But I think good to remember what was happening in the months before that: real wages still below 2008 levels, the longest pay squeeze in living memory.

Benefits payments up by 6.7% today, but still nowhere near enough to live on and, in real terms, £35 per month lower than when the Tories got into power in 2010.

The uprating today basically just brings the standard benefits payment back to where it was in 2021.

LPC recommends moving towards extending the higher National Minimum Wage rate to 18-20 year olds.

Last week, TUC analysis found that extending the higher rate to 18-20 year olds would benefit 730k workers. On average, they'd be £2,438 a year better off.

For those suggesting that proposals for action on zero hours contracts are 'rushed' - here's the Low Pay Commission's recommendations, signed off by business from six years ago. Would be useful if those wading in did some basic research gov.uk/government/pub…

Become obsessed with something that bores everyone I have mentioned it to in person. Barely any big public clock works. Even if they do, they're rarely the right time. Noticed it when my phone died the other day and now notice it everywhere. The era of big clock is over.
