Not in hindsight - I queried it at the time. Great dig tonight but can’t see the sense in Barnsley’s shock sacking of Neill Collins. All for a two or three game gamble when he’d done a job you’d have taken when the season began. Fashionable but foolish.

I take this back!
Maybe it was too good to be true?
I simply can’t believe that Liam Rosenior has been sacked by . Whatever happened to building steadily with continuity? Why can’t even supposedly sensible clubs recognise the value of this?! Ridiculous.

What an utterly ridiculous sacking of Liam Rosenior by Hull city…Anybody who has watched his team play this season couldn’t help but be impressed…. Hope he gets a club deserving of his ability..👌

Thought I’d dig this out from a couple of weeks ago in tribute to the old(er) guard … because when the going got tough these guys got going …

Just a curtain-down Crucible word for Hazel Irvine. She doesn’t do all this on here. She just does her job - with warmth, empathy & supreme professionalism. Brings snooker into our homes with joy & is so welcome in our homes. Leads a great team superbly.

They’ve squeaked so many lucky results as well. Under that false cliche of “finding a way to win.” My word, they also find a way to lose! Nowhere near good enough for a club bearing the name of Manchester United.

Takes my mind back to Jack Charlton who said that 4-5 years as a manager anywhere was long enough. After that familiarity bred contempt.
Even truer today. Moyes did his 4 years + in his second Hammers spell & (like Big Jack at & ) did a fine job.

One of the best “hold my beer” moments you’ll ever see. You don’t make over 100 appearances as a centre back for Millwall without having some bottle!

It’s that moment when you declare allegiance to the town on your birth certificate.
Come on you Bromley boys!

Forest deserved it in the end - & any luck, maybe including the 2nd goal. What was different about that (push/tangle? in the build up) from Chelsea’s contentiously denied late winner at Villa? I’d be giving both goals. But you just never know with VAR!

Barry Bannan & a new deal? Absolutely right in either division. Such a talisman, heartbeat of the dressing room & still super fit. Glad to hear from Rob Staton interview it’s highly likely. Rohl looked spent. To use his favourite word, a man to “invest” in!
