Common dolphins from a couple of weeks ago seen in the Celtic sea between Cornwall and Wales. We had 600+ common dolphins that day!

One of the coolest things I think I've ever seen! Common dolphins bow riding a fin whale. I still can't quite get over the size difference of these two animals, and this was seen off the coast of Wales!

Great day out at Hebridean Whale & Dolphin Trust 's open day today! I didn't get any cetaceans but I dropped off some pins for their shop and had a great time exploring Tobermory. My shop is still closed over summer but you can now get John Coe, Pride Orca, and Common Dolphin pins at the centre!

I can't remember the last time I heard of a large whale being refloated like this! Amazing work!

Great day out doing the return trip to Tiree with CalMac Ferries to see some wildlife. Common dolphins, plenty of birds, and lots of harbour porpoises. Including one with a fairly distinctive fin! I'll be doing this again for sure.

Another fab day out on the return ferry to Tiree from Oban. We passed by the Hebridean Whale & Dolphin Trust vessel Silurian (love whatever is happening on deck!), and I got one single photo of a common dolphin. Nat geo worthy I'm sure you'll agree

A gorgeous evening to finish my 6 week internship at Scottish Association for Marine Science helping to process minke whale calls. I've loved every minute and learned so much. I'm pretty sad it has to come to an end, but the next adventure calls!

Deeply disappointing to see AI being used to represent cetaceans in Scottish waters when I know how many amazing photos of real whales and dolphins in Western Scotland there are! The images in this article just get worse the more you look.

So I emailed the newspaper and they've told me that all images in their article are "Actual cetaceans". Here is the relevant part of their response and "Actual cetaceans" included. No. Just no. ????

So the press and journal removed the images! Really great to see them taking advice about AI on board. It's not great that they didn't catch it in the first place, but I'm so happy to see them change their minds! Article here -> pressandjournal.co.uk/fp/news/enviro…
