On the morning of the funeral of Lord David Trimble, the Irish national flag hangs at half mast at the Embassy of Ireland in London. May he rest in peace.

Very sad news, especially for his family and former colleagues in the UUP. David Trimble had the courage to lead political unionism in the negotiation of GFA and the determination to lead through its initial fragile years, along with the late Séamus Mallon. May he rest in peace.
