Terrific short thread on why allowing the H5N1 virus to transmit in cows poses a considerable threat - even if the absolute risk of the right mutations happening is very low per infection - allowing it to persist is akin to giving it billions of lottery tickets.

Long Covid Day 1,549: Crowdfunded to upgrade my flight back to the U.S. to save my green card bc I realized I was too sick to travel sitting upright in economy. Delta helpline said I had to upgrade in person at check-in. Check-in said I should have done it over the phone 1/
