I’m finally done putting together the timelapse of this event and WOW. I’ll share it tomorrow morning. It’s pretty sweet.

The sun is ridiculously exciting today

The same region of the sun I was shooting yesterday had an X class flare right behind the limb, and has now erupted into a series of magnetic loops! These loops are indicative of very strong activity.

This is a real photo of them, captured this morning from my backyard.

Happening right now on the sun: A mass of plasma over 100,000 miles long hangs on the Eastern limb. Captured a couple hours ago from my backyard using a specially modified telescope.

Curiosity Here’s my best photo of Mars! Captured using a 14” scope from my backyard. It’s actually facing the same way, you can see Valles Marineris in the center of the photo.

What’s your favorite type of space content you see from me? Galaxies, nebulae, moon, sun, planets, ISS… even rockets?

I mostly do this just because I love it but sometimes when I need a motivational push it’s nice knowing what people like the most!

Sorry for not sharing a full moon pic right away, been so busy 🥲 I did take one and will share it soon. This is something like my 40th consecutive full moon shot…

You can see why in a single photo it almost looks like an artifact, but the live video shows that the satellites were actually in that formation!

This is *not* a camera artifact, but a series of satellites making this shape!

Here’s a video captured with my phone, tracking with my telescope. You can see as it enters Earth’s shadow!

Well this is a first for me! Caught tonight's Falcon 9 launch as the second stage flew over my house in Arizona- right after deploying 23 starlink satellites.
This isn't a composite photo- they were both still this close together in flight with all 23 satellites visible!
