I sold out of one of the sizes last night but still have a few of the others left for today only!

To those of you who ordered my eclipse shot- there was a small delay in shipping, but will be caught up Monday/Tuesday at the latest!

If you haven’t ordered yet, they’re now shipping within 72 hours of ordering. They’re at the link in my bio for only 2 more days.

Here's another view of the sun today captured from my backyard- this one is monochrome as captured through my camera, but naturally it looks red through this modified solar telescope. The furry things are 'spicules'- plasma jets thousands of miles long.

I pointed my modified solar telescope at a group of small sunspots to see what was happening. A chaotic mess of tangled magnetic fields was revealed by the incandescent plasma in the solar chromosphere. Our sun is quite interesting right now!

More fake eclipse stuff 🤣

No, a phone didn’t resolve clear magnetic field lines in the Corona. At best, the phone can resolve some of the basic large structure. The phone is at the mercy of the limits of smaller optics, and the limited dynamic range of the camera sensor.
