Pretty Mischievous broke from the gate for a 4 fur. work this morning but the siren briefly went off (loose horse, caught quickly, all good) when they were about 3/16s in, so Tyler had to put on the brakes. She was able to get a half-mile work (no gate) about five minutes later.

(Cont) Added Brown on Sierra Leone: “I’ve always worked him in company. He’s always been in the mornings who is a decent work horse, but he needs a little focus. We give him a little competition just so he feels a horse next to him and just keeps him in the bridle nicely.”

Trainer Chad Brown on Sierra Leone’s penultimate pre-Derby work: “The horse worked super. As you can see, he’s not even blowing. He’s really fit and ready. We’re just trying to maintain where we’re at with him. I was really pleased today.” (cont)

No More Time, the Tampa Bay Derby runner-up, was injured this morning in a workout at Palm Meadows and is out of the Kentucky Derby, per trainer D’Angelo. That would put Lexington winner Encino in if his connections want to run.
