I just read Dr Jean Menzies' book. I didn't always agree with its arguments and interpretations but it is a very good, thought-provoking, TBR-extending little text. 404 Ink hit it again!

I'm thrilled to be part of Queers Words: the redux, this time as a mentor!

Queer writers of Scotland, you can now apply for this excellent scheme; I and my fellow mentors will be offering three mentoring sessions to help you shape your piece for publishing in the anthology.

Alongside mentoring, successful candidates will feature in a 2025 anthology, published by 404 Ink, for which we'll be opening submissions in the Spring.

Mentoring submissions are welcome from writers who were previously published in We Were Always Here!

This year's mentors include Carrie Marshall, Colin Herd, Heather Parry, Mae Diansangu and Shola von Reinhold - and as well as fiction and poetry, we're also seeking submissions of creative non-fiction!
