#RoyalMarines have completed two weeks of experiments with swarms of drones in a first for the UK’s armed forces.

This was about looking at how machines can support - not replace - the commandos on operations.

⚓️🗡️Micky DuMont rehearsed their specialism of raiding from the sea, by practising long range covert insertions of surveillance and reconnaissance teams to inform planning by the Joint Staffs on @HMSAlbion for follow-on Littoral Strike Missions.

🌊During #BALTOPS50 , maritime assets participated in live training events that included air defence, anti-submarine warfare, amphibious landings, maritime interdiction and mine countermeasure operations.
