We can confirm that there were no Irish personnel involved with this patrol. Our troops in Lebanon are all accounted for, safe, and continue to carry out their roles and responsibilities as part of UNIFIL 🇮🇪🇺🇳🇱🇧

#Induction is not the only training taking place in 28 Infantry Battalion. We recently conducted a Basic Recce Course. This took place at locations all over Sligo and Donegal, and culminated in badge week in GOC DFTC. Well done to the students and instructors.

Irish Defence Forces Recruitment Officer is ongoing with large cohorts being attested for service this week in Cathal Brugha Barracks, before traveling to 28 Infantry Battalion Battalion in Finner camp, and at the Joint Induction Training Centre at Gormanston Camp.

41st Three Star Course

📍Pettigo, Co. Donegal.

Our Three Star Course continued their training where they were tested in navigation , harbour occupation and routine, patrolling, and tactics. They finished the week with a 15km march back to Finner Camp.
