With the help of Artemio, I have spent the last couple of weeks in improving the sound signal chain in the CPS core. Expanding this to cover all cores is taking some extra effort. Stay tune for a massive core update, likely next week.

Next came the scary part, the calibration!! Adjustments need to be made while the TV is running so there’s live charge going through the components! Using the 240p Test Suite Megadrive version, this software displays test patterns for the purpose of calibrating the TV.

Thanks to @BucketMouseBite’s convenient board, I finally made my own up-to-date 240p Test Suite cartridge!

Sure enough, 240p Test Suite revealed D11 to be the culprit! Now the BIOS was loading, but the CD drive didn’t seem to be working.

Released 0.2.0, with a more complete set of display tests. Input/sound tests still need to be developed.

SMPTE-C and "JAPAN" here have elements outside of both sRGB and Rec709, though their differences to each other are the most pronounced. Ikegami mentions "NHK Phosphors" these are ARIB/MUSE/HiVision.
