Racism like this isn’t new to me, and now that I’m a rocket engineer working on a lunar landing engine 🚀they have very little effect personally. But I think it’s important to broadcast to people who lack firsthand experience what many POC professionals encounter regularly.

This feels surreal, instead of its usual 100%-sunk-cost-fallacy or insta-cancel reflexes, NASA is actually going to kill the gilded architecture, study faster/cheaper alternatives, AND still invest a large amount of money to keep the project alive???

Imagine how satisfying it must have been to be the person who got to carefully wipe off a 100 foot long line of soot 😩😩😩
